Barnet Council has introduced a parking permit for religious leaders visiting their flocks. They will now be able to park in restricted streets without a special residents’ pass. Eligible religions include Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Rastafarianism, Sikhism, Unitarianism, and Zoroastrianism. ‘But we would not rule out Jeddist Knights or Scientologists’, says a spokesperson.’ We would need an accompanying letter from their religious community.’
